Virginia Rasche, 60, 216 N. Jackson St., Olney died Friday, August 1979 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Services at Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Gardner officiating. Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery.

She was born May 14, 1919, daughter of Bert Vail Sr. and Amanda Piper Vail. On February 15, 1958 she married Marvin W. Rasche. He preceded her in death.

She was a laboratory technician at Richland Memorial Hospital and a member of the Illinois Medical Technology Association, Beta Sigma Phi,  ? Chapter of PEO Sisterhood. The laboratory at Richland Memorial Hospital was dedicated in her name. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Olney.

Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Dave Honn; a brother, William (Bil) Vail, Mt. Carmel; grandchildren and five nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Dr. Bert Vail Jr.
