Barbara J. Craddock Petty, 90, of Olney, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Cremation rites will be accorded. A Memorial service in the Chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney.

Barbara was born May 6, 1920, in Olney, the daughter of Wilbur and Daisy (Smith) Robinson. She married Marvin Craddock and was married to him for 33 years. He preceded her in death. She married Burl Petty. He also preceded her in death.

She was a member of Congregational Christian Church of Olney and a homemaker. She was an abstractor by profession, who was employed by Carrie Winters. She was a member of the local chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a genealogist, author and poet. Barbara was a kind, loving, giving and generous person who was willing to help anyone in need. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by two sisters, Ruth Wilzbacher and her husband, John, of Sumner, and Pat McWilliams and her husband, Mac, of Sumner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Daisy Robinson; husband, Marvin Craddock; husband, Burl Petty; three brothers, Norris, Ralph and Charles Robinson; and two sisters, Helen Biehl Zirkle and Mary Long.
