Rex Shipley

Floyd Rex Shipley, 61, 600 Parker, died of natural causes Sunday (January 1980) in Richland Memorial Hospital. Mr. Shipley was the parts manager at Hahn Auto Sales.

He was born in Richland County on September 4, 1918, son of Floyd and Bessie (Endicott) Shipley. On January 30, 1943 he married Pearl N. Swinson. She died on September 18, 1978. He married Ruth Rickner on August 16, 1979, and she survives.

Other survivors include nine step-children, two step-brothers, E. L. Kepheart, Olney and Donald Kepheart, California; two sisters, Irene Hain, Marshall and Fern C. McElenney, Etiwanda, Ca. and 18 step-grandchildren.

Mr. Shipley was an Army infantry veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral services at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Edward Eichenberger presiding. Burial in the Crest Haven Memorial Park with military graveside rites by the Olney Veteran's organizations.
