Verdene O. Michels, 64, formerly of Noble died at Flora Nursing Center Saturday, (July 1983.)  Services at Summers Funeral Home with Bill Cox presiding. Burial in Johnson Cemetery in Wayne County.

Mrs. Michels was born June 14, 1919 in Parkersburg, the daughter of Grant and Golda (Curtright) Stevens. She married Albert Michels June 1941.

She was retired from Ainsbrook Garment Co., where she was a seamstress.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth of Noble; four daughters, Cathy Robinson and Debbie Fletcher both of Olney; Nancy Stanley of Noble and Alberta McDonald, Burley, Idaho; a sister, Juanita Whitaker, Olney; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and an aunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Olivet and Stanley Stevens.
