Dorothy L. Lathrop, 87, of Olney, died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Graveside services at Crest Haven Memorial Park in rural Claremont with Pastor Mark Winner officiating.

Ms. Lathrop was born February 23, 1920, in Richland County, the daughter of Edgar and Anna (Materna) Lathrop.

She was a retired beautician and the owner and operator of Dot's Beauty Shop. She was a member of United Church of God.

Ms. Lathrop is survived by her sister, Lucille Lathrop, of Olney; sister-in-law, Norma Lathrop, of Olney; nephews, Joe Lathrop, of Claremont, Roy Lathrop, of Claremont, Don Lathrop, of Lockport, and Jerry Lathrop, of California; nieces, Mary Lou Kimmel, of Olney, Karen Hawes, of Carmel, Ind., and Marjorie Gardner, of Olney; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents; brothers, William, Roy, Arthur, Carl, John Edward and Fred; niece, Patricia Murphy; and one great-nephew.
