Hettie M. (Higgins) Burrell, 86, Lawrenceville, Illinois  died at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at Lawrenceville Manor.

She was a homemaker and had also worked as a nurse's aide at United Methodist Village.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lyman Burrell and her twin sister, Phoebe J. (Higgins) Kimmel.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Burrell of Chaplin, Minn.; one daughter, Judy Houghton of Hamlin, Texas; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren and five step great-great-grandchildren.

Her body was donated to science.
