JACK RECTOR KILLED IN INDIANA ACCIDENT ~ Jack Rector, one of Olney's most popular young men and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack W. Rector of Olney, died  Sunday morning September 28, 1941 at a Valparaiso, Ind. hospital from injuries received in an automobile crash south of Valparaiso Saturday night. His companion, Warren Fulford 31, also of Olney was taken to the same hospital suffering from four fractured ribs.

According to information received here, the car driven by Rector crashed into a Northern Indiana Public Service Co. truck at a highway intersection. Both men were employed at the Kingsbury Ordnance plant at LaPorte and were enroute to Olney when the accident occurred.

Jack Rector was born in Olney June 25, 1919. He was graduated from Olney High School and worked with his father as a plumber before going to work at the Kingsbury plant.

He is survived by his parents and two sisters, the Misses Betty and Marjorie Rector, both at home.

Funeral services at the United Brethren Church with Rev. Paul Milhouse officiating. Interment at Haven Hill Cemetery.
