Beulah Fern "Mimi" Hance, 84, of East Peoria, Illinois, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria, Ill.

Born on June 5, 1926, in Olney, Ill., to David I. and Effie M. Thomas Scherer, she married Paul Hance on Dec. 20, 1947, in Olney. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1985.  She also was preceded in death by a half brother, Kenneth Romack.

Surviving are three daughters, Brenda (Charles) Penney of Benicia, Calif., and Cynthia (Andy) Anderson and Gail (Michael) Ball, both of Cape Coral, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, Pastor Jim Gorby officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
