Margaret Irene Gillespie, age 96, of Flora, IL died at 9:28 AM on Friday, February 08, 2013 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.

She was born January 26, 1917 in Olney, IL to Thomas E. and Eva Mae (Kent) Gillespie.

Margaret worked at Westinghouse in Chicago prior to serving as a health care provider for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flora and the Clay County Hospital Auxiliary.

She will be remembered for her uplifting smile and personality.

She is survived by her daughter: Norma Jean Dusten, special friends, Tom and Laura Hale and Lucille Cook, along with several grandchildren and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister (Ida Mae Hoard), and a brother (Harvey F. Gillespie).

A private graveside service held at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney, IL.
