Bessie Fildes (Englert) - Class Of 1935

Bessie F. Englert, 84, a homemaker, died Dec. 5, 1995, at a local care center.

The funeral will be at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses.  Entombment at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum Garden of Angels.

Mrs. Englert was born Oct. 20, 1911, in Peoria, Ill., to Vernon S. and Lucy (Smith) Fildes. She was married Aug. 22, 1935, in Colorado Springs to Adolph A. Englert, who is deceased.

She is survived by two sons, James A. of La Mirada, Calif., and Edward E. of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Judith A. Burnside and Cathryn E. Crane, both of Calhan; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Her brother and a sister are deceased.

Mrs. Englert had been a Colorado Springs resident since 1935 and previously lived in Illinois. She was a former member of First Christian Church and enjoyed reading and current events.
