Joseph Goudy Weiler, 85, of Olney died Tuesday July 23, 2002 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Funeral services at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Reverend Father David Braun officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Weiler was born on November 10, 1916 in Richland County, the son of Joseph A. and Mary Jane (Goudy) Weiler. He married Margaret Miller. She preceded him in death. He later married Della Elizabeth Royce on June 11, 1972 and she survives.

He was a retired machinist at AMF in Olney and also worked at Olney Central College. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney.

Mr. Weiler is survived by his wife, Della Weiler of Olney; a daughter, Peggy Alptekin and her husband, Cem of Istanbul, Turkey; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Weiler of Lawrenceville; a step-son, James Royse of Effingham; a step-daughter, Carol Grubb of Belleville; and two step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and one son, Michael.
