Evelyn Grigsby (Brewer) - Class Of 1935

Evelyn Brewer, 85, of Fort Wayne, a homemaker, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Byron Health Center, Fort Wayne.

The Olney, Ill., native had lived in Angola. She was a published composer of two hymns and a hospital volunteer.  She was a gifted singer and piano player, and was on the radio in her younger years.

Surviving are her daughters, Martha Brown of Kendallville, Nancy Concus of Pleasant Lake and Carol Hagewood of Fremont; a son, Bill of Tacoma, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton; a daughter, Margaret Dinger; sons Gerald and Carlton John; a brother; and two sisters.

Graveside services at Winnamac Cemetery, Winnamac.
