Katherine (Doan) Oney, 97, of St. Louis MO and formerly of Bridgeport IL, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013, in St. Louis County at Christian Hospital Northeast. She was born March 18, 1916, in Claremont IL to Raymond and Iola (Farquhar) Doan. On June 26, 1937, Katherine married Roy E. Oney in Herrin IL, and he preceded her in death on January 9, 1984.

Katherine was a graduate of Olney High School, was a member of the New Hope Christian Church of Bridgeport, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, had worked as a cook at Bridgeport Grade School, and was a loving homemaker to her family.

Surviving family members include: two daughters, Marilyn Lamoureux of Webster Groves MO and Pam (Steve) Maynard of St. Louis; two sisters, Ruth Lyke of Sarasota FL and Betty Rosafort of Shenorock NY; daughter-in-law Lena Oney of Highland IL; five grandchildren, Mark (Patty) Lamoureux, Kim (Bill) Schoenborn, John Lamoureux, Missie (Bruce) Richter, and Chad Oney; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy E. Oney, her parents Raymond and Iola Doan, her son, Dennis "Denny" Oney, and son-in-law John Lamoureux.
