Ruth Kathryn Dishong, 80, of Olney died Tuesday June 10, 1997 at Burgin Manor Nursing Home.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Duane Ambrose officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery in Claremont.

Dishong was born October 26, 1916 in Richland County, the daughter of Adam Clark and Daisy Angeline (Stoltz) Atkins.

She was a retired cook at Burgin Manor Nursing Home and attended Claremont United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Danny Lee Dishong, Ph.D. and his wife, Sara of Lawrenceville; one daughter, Barbara Jean Harmon and her husband, Bill of Olney; one brother, Estes Atkins of Claremont; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a brother and seven sisters.
