Hazel M. Mushrush, 95, of Champaign and formerly of Tavares, Fla., and Lincoln and Chauncey, Ill., joined her husband in heaven on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 25, 2011, at Country Health Nursing Home in Gifford, Ill.

Hazel was born March 17, 1916, in Richland County, a daughter of Rolla and Ortinsey (Fritschle) Kesler. She married Robert Mushrush. He preceded her in death in 2002.

She received her certificate in cosmetology and worked for several years as a beautician. She and her husband farmed in Lawrence County for many years. They also were involved in broiler production and later built Lincoln Trailer Court and Sales in Lincoln. She and her husband were members of the Good Sam Club. They enjoyed many years of travel and fishing together.

Hazel is survived by two sons, Jim (Elaine) Mushrush, of Champaign, and Jerry Mushrush, of Leesburg, Fla.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rolla and Ortinsey Kesler, and seven brothers and sisters.
