Mrs. Dorotha Marie (Marlowe) Short, age 53, a former resident of Olney, passed away last Sunday evening, March 23, 1969 at the Stewart Air Force Base Hospital at Smyrna, Tennessee. The family residence has been in Smyrna for the past several years.

Funeral services at Summers-Rainey Funeral Home with Pastor John E. Kauffman officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Short was born in Olney on July 14, 1915, the daughter of the Late Elmer and Lora (Mitchell) Marlowe. She was married to Ivan A. Short, a career man of the United States Army, now retired. She was a long time member of the Immanuel United Methodist church.

She leaves her husband, Ivan Short of Smyrna; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Pennington of Olney; a niece, Mrs. Tommy (Eleanor) Smith of Olney and a great niece and nephew both of Olney.
