Edith Stout (Harmon) - Class Of 1934

Edith Marie (Stout) Harmon, 71, Springfield, Mo., and formerly of Claremont, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 1987, in Greene Haven Nursing Home in Springfield.

Mrs. Harmon was born Sept. 21, 1915, in Chauncey, the daughter of Henry and Edna (Rigall) Stout.

She first married Millard Likens and then later married Wilmur C. Harmon and he preceded her in death Jan. 3, 1975.

She was a retired nursing home administrator and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Olney.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Joy Likens, Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Melvin (Barbara Joe) Kapper, Olney, and Mrs. Milan (Bonnie Marie) Swialski, Evansville, Wisc.; three brothers, Warren D. Stout, Sumner, Henry Wayne Stout, Natchitoches, La., and Floyd Erias Stout, Robinson; three sisters, Mrs. Cocella Jenkins, Chicago, Mrs. Forrest (Alene) Rosborough, Olney, and Mrs. Marvin O. (Ruth) Waggoner, Lawrenceville; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and an infant twin daughter.
