Beulah Conour (Blickensderfer) - Class Of 1934

Beulah Conour Blickensderfer Class of 1934FORSYTH -- Beulah Conour-Gill-Blickensderfer, 99, of Midlothian, VA, formerly of Forsyth, IL passed away on Thursday (Feb. 25, 2016) at St. Francis Medical Center, Midlothian, VA.  Visitation at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home North Chapel, Decatur, IL with a graveside service to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City, IL.

Beulah was born on November 26, 1916 in Olney, IL the daughter of Harrison F. and Maude (Shepherd) Conour. In 1934 Beulah married Roy James Gill who preceded her in death in 1971. In 1982 she married Jim Blickensderfer who preceded her in death in 1992. She was a long time member of Forsyth United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and was an active member her whole life, serving on the church board, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school until she was 93. She worked as the bookkeeper-secretary for the Forsyth Lumber Yard and later for the Maroa Lumber Yard until she retired at the age of 65 after serving 23 years. Beulah was also a member of the Lady Elks Club and the Moose Lodge in Decatur.

Surviving is her son, Jerry (Sharon) Gill of Henrico, VA; two step sons: James (Joyce) Blickensderfer of Indianapolis, IN and Richard (Laura) Blickensderfer of Ilseton, CA; step daughter: Kathy (Tom) Moorse of Orangeville, CA; two grandsons: Tim (Erin) Gill of Mechanicsville, VA and Mike (Amy) Gill of Midlothian, VA; six step grandchildren: Shawn and Cathy Blickensderfer, Janette and Joshua Blickensderfer, and Jeffrey and Rachel Moorse; six great-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; two step great-great grandchildren; sister: Betty Hazel of Mahomet, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three brothers and three infant children.
