John C. Weber - Class Of 1934

John C. Weber, 75, 328 South Elliott, Olney, died Monday November 4, 1991 in Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with the Rev. Mark C. Myers officiating. Burial at Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Weber was born February 4, 1916 in Olney, the son of Dr. James A. and Eugenia (Powers) Weber. He married Wilma J. Hillis September 5, 1941 and she survives.

He was retired as past president and chairman of the board of directors of the First National Bank in Olney. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was also a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, served on the board of directors of the Olney Savings and Loan and served on the Olney Carnegie Library Board.

Survivors in addition to his wife, include six sons, John C. Weber II, Lake Ann, Mich., Edward P. Weber, Denver, David G. Weber, Decatur, Paul A. Weber, Columbus, Ohio, Stephen P. Weber, Bayne City, Mich. and Charles B. Weber, Jenks, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Charlotte) Cooney, Stanford, Mrs. Joel (Nancy) L. Vercler, Chenoa and Mrs. Richard (Ann) L. Leininger, Godfrey; four sisters, Kitty Fye, Mrs James (Mary) Redman and Mrs. Glenn (Eugenia) Edmiston all of Olney, and Mrs. Vince (George Jolly) Matthews, Loudon, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Eugene and James.
