Grace Margaret Stewart (Roth) - Class Of 1936

Grace Margaret Roth, 84, of Ida, Michigan died Monday July 21, 2003 at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio after a lingering illness.  A service held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ida with Father John LaCasse officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Ida, Mich.

Mrs. Roth was born on August 10, 1918 in Elbow, the daughter of Eugene and Bessie (Bullard) Stewart.  She married Vincent Roth on June 2, 1939 in Deerfield, Mich.  He survives.

She was a 1936 graduate of Olney Township High School and attended Stautzenberger College in Toledo, Ohio for two years. She was a bank teller at Monroe Bank & Trust for 26 years, retiring in 1981. She had also worked for Monroe Auto Equipment.  She was a member of St. Joseph Church and St. Joseph Christian Mothers in Ida and the Ida VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.

Mrs. Roth is survived by her husband, Vincent Roth of Ida, Mich.; a daughter, Anna Marie Janssens of Monroe, Mich.; a brother, Warren Stewart and his wife, Berdine of Dundas; two sisters, Sara Stievers of Hammond, Ind. and Florence Staley and her husband, Melvin of Dundas; a granddaughter; two great-grandsons and 45 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.

Vivian Diane Stewart (Werley) (1964)

married to Vincent Peter Roth. Passed away in Michigan.
