Edith Witsman, 80, of Charleston, died Wednesday January 28, 1998 at Heartland Christian Village in Neoga.  Services at Central Christian Church with Rev. Craig Smith officiating. Interment at Chapel Hill Gardens in Oakbrook Terrace.

Witsman was born April 19, 1917 in Richland County, the daughter of Rolla and Lutinsa (Fritschle) Kesler. She married William George Witsman August 24, 1945 in Pasadena, Cal. He preceded her in death March 30, 1970.

She retired from Lincoln State School as a registered nurse.

She is survived by two sons, William Michael Witsman and his wife, Esther of Charleston and Tim J. Witsman and his wife, Debbie of Grand Junction, Colo.; one sister, Hazel Mushrush of Tamora, Fla. and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.
