Cleta Alberta Cross, 74 of Phoenix, Arizona, a school teacher, died January 1, 1992.  She was born April 18, 1917 in Olney, Illinois daughter of J.P. and Ethel (Wachtel) Gray. She married Morris B. Cross August 15, 1937 in Vigo County, Indiana.

Survivors include her son, James; one grandson; one great-grandchild and two brothers.

Cleta was preceded in death by her parents, Jess P. and Ethel Gray and her husband.

Graveside services at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix.
