Francis Lankford "Jack" Crackel, 89,  of West Union, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at his residence. Graveside services at the Graceland Cemetery in Albion, Illinois.

He was born in Browns, Illinois on November 16, 1918 the son of the late Frank and Lura (Lankford) Crackel.

Jack was a member of the Dunkinsville United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #100 in West Union, West Union Lions Club, Kentucky Colonel (Honorable Order), and a Navy Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Mike and Brenda Crackel of West Union, one step granddaughter Heather Blevins, one step great granddaughter Cindy Blevins, and one step great grandson Kyle Blevins.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen (Camfield) Crackel.
