Fred Richard Lathrop, 63, of Chicago, formerly of Olney died Sunday, November 13, 1988 in Central Nursing Home, Chicago. Services in Summers Funeral Home, Olney with burial in Amity Cemetery.

Mr. Lathrop was born in Richland County, son of Edgar and Anna (Materna) Lathrop. He was a retired custodian, member of American Legion of Olney and a World War II Navy Veteran. He married Norma Myers in 1957.

Surviving are his wife; son, Jerry of San Diego, Calif; step-sons, Edward Fore of Bellwood; Clifford Fore of Peotone; brother, Arthur of Claremont; sisters, Dorothy and Lucille Lathrop, both of Olney; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Four brothers preceded him in death, William F., Henry R., Carl A. and John E. Lathrop.
