Emma Travers Slothower, 73, of Dixon, formerly of Olney died Sunday April 19, 1987 at her home in Dixon. Funeral services at Treston Shilling Funeral Home in Dixon.

Mrs. Slothower was born August 23, 1913 in Wayne County, the daughter of Louis F. and Ida Mae (Lynch) Travers. She married L. Vincent Slothower in May 1937 in Dixon. He survives.

She was a registered nurse.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Slothower of Denver, Colo., Susan Hall of Moline and Sandra Conklin of Davenport, Ia.; two sisters, Ruth McBride and Margaret Beckenhauer both of Olney; three grandchildren; seven nieces; one nephew and several grand-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, a sister and a niece.
