John Bryan - Class Of 1932

John Charles Bryan, 92, of Georgetown, Texas, formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at his home. He was born in 1913 in Olney, Ill., to Frank Bryan and Schel Bryan.

He spent his entire career with Mobil Oil. While most of his career was spent in East St. Louis, Ill., he also spent part of his tenure in Australia and the Philippines. After living in Bella Vista for more than 25 years, he moved to Texas to be with family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Bryan, in 2001.

Survivors include a son, John B. Bryan of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda L. Johnston and Darrell Johnston of Georgetown; a sister, Betty Stebbins of Littleton, Colo.; five grandchildren, Kristi Dodson of Houston, Texas, John Leslie of Chicago, Ill., Kari Woodruff and Damon Johnston, both of Littleton, and Derek Johnston of Tulsa, Okla.; and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services at the Dug Hill Cemetery in Bella Vista, Ark., with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff.
