Charlene Peters, 79, of Centralia, formerly of Olney died Wednesday, February 8, 1995 at St. Mary's Hospital.  Funeral services at St. Mary's Church with Father James Dougherty officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Peters was born May 2, 1915 in Olney, the daughter of Edmund and Emma (Ginder) Brookfield.  She married Damon E. Peters May 19, 1937 in Olney.  He died August 30, 1991.

She was a beautician in Olney.  She was a member of the St. Mary's Church and American Association of Retired Persons.

She is survived by two sons, John D. Peters of Salem and Dennis Michael Peters of Centralia; a daughter, Janice K. Coan of Elmira, Mich.; a brother, Henry Brookfield of Olney; a sister, Mary McGregor of Olney; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Peters was preceded in death by her husband.
