Harold Zerkle, 88, of Dundas, died Saturday August 22, 1999 at Olney Care Center in Olney.  Funeral services at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Olney with Pastor Keith A. Michaels officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park east of Olney.

Mr. Zerkle was born July 4, 1911 in Preston Township, Richland County, the son of Louis and Leona (Miller) Zerkle. He married Marjorie L. Combs June 30, 1935 in Richland County. She survives.

Mr. Zerkle was a self-employed contractor for most of his life. He owned and operated Zerkle's Drive In from 1972 through 1975 in Olney. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Olney.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie L. Zerkle of Dundas; three sons, Jim Zerkle and his wife, Marjorie of Dundas, Roger Zerkle and his wife Donna of Flat Rock and Tom Zerkle and his wfie, Cindy of Olney; one daughter, Cynthia Ash of Killeen, Texas; two brothers, Clarence Zerkle and Francis "Bud" Zerkle, both of Dundas; two sisters, Genevieve Burgener of Dundas and Louise Myers of Olney; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Everette Zerkle.
