Lauren Elayne Sturgeon, 21, a student at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, formerly of Olney, died Wednesday April 16, 2008 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Cremation rites were accorded. Interment of ashes at a later date.

Miss Sturgeon was born July 8, 1986 in Olney, the daughter of Loy and Lynne (Fehrenbacher) Sturgeon.

She was a junior at Eastern Illinois University and a graduate of Wabash Valley College with an associate's degree in Social Services.

Miss Sturgion is survived by her parents, Loy and Lynne Sturgeon of Olney; brother, Landon Sturgeon of Terre Haute, Ind.; maternal grandparents, Don and Diane Fehrenbacher of Olney; maternal grandparents, Don and Pat Abel of Olney; aunts and uncles, Larry and Leah Willis of Olney, Tony and Lori Wesh of Bowling Green, Ky., Jim and Denise Hull of Olney and Shawn and Nicole Senders of Olney; cousins, Lindsey Ridgely, Lafe Willis, McKenzie Hull, Nick and Christine Wesh and Laynee and Kaden Senders; special friend, Brandon Allard of Springfield; and many loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents.
