Laverne Corinne Williams (Miller) - Class Of 1932

LaVerne Corrinne Miller, 90, of Decatur, Illinois died Friday, October 8, 2004 at McKinley Court.  Services at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Burial at Zion Cemetery, Blue Mound.

Mrs. Miller was born October 30, 1913 in Olney the daughter of Edward and Louise VonAlmen Williams. She helped make the A-bomb at Houdaille Hershey, was a house mother at Decatur Memorial Nurses Residence from 1968-1981, member of Grace United Methodist Church, and member of Lode Star Club. She married Frank G. Miller on May 7, 1939. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1990.

Surviving are her daughters Linda Muirheid and husband Max of Tulsa, Oklahoma and De Anne Hopkins and husband Jack of Decatur, grandchildren; John Hopkins and wife Tami, Jeffrey Hopkins and wife Dana, Jared Hopkins, Lisa Muirheid Martin and husband James, Melissa Muirheid, Molly Muirheid and fiancÃ(c) Jonathan Pierce, great grandchildren; James Martin, Corrinne Anne Martin, Madison Hopkins, and Samuel Hopkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Loren VonAlmen Williams and sister, Imogene Rennier Stanger.
