Ellis Stover - Class Of 1932

Ellis Stover, 71, of West Salem died May 7, 1984, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem with Bro. Allen Ahlfield officiating, and burial in the Marion Cemetery.

He was born September 21, 1912, in Edwards County, son of Earl and Zella Pritchett Stover.  He married Mildred Walker on Dec. 13, 1933. She preceded him. in death on Feb. 11, 1979. He then married Inez Sutherland in Olney on March 29, 1980. She survives.

He is also survived by three sons; Dale of Zepherhills, FL; Donald of Parkersburg and James of West Salem. thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister; Mrs. Lenabelle Gill of Mt. Carmel, one stepson; Don Sutherland of Bone Gap; three stepdaughter, Wilma Strine of West Salem, Phyllis White of Jal, New Mexico and Mrs. Sharon Jones of West Salem.

He was a member of the Marion Christian Church and the VFW in Albion. He served in the Navy in W.W. II as a Gunner on the U.S.S. Salt Lake City.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Charles and one sister; Mrs. Madge Walker.
