Sarah Weaver (Jones) - Class Of 1932

Sarah E. Jones, 80, of Olney, died Thursday, April 27, 1995 at her home.  Funeral services at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, with Pastor Doyle Hatfield officiating.  Burial in the Crest Haven Memorial Park.

Jones was born August 12, 1914, in Danville, Ky., to Walter S. and Minerva (Pulliam) Weaver. She married Walter Jones on June 16, 1934, in Olney, and he survives.

She was a homemaker, an employee of the International Shoe Company, Hornback Grocery and retired after 20 years as a timekeeper for A.M.F. in 1980. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olney, Clio Club, Goodwill Rebecca, a volunteer for the Good Samaritan of Richland County, and in April of 1995, she received recognition for 800 hours of volunteer service with Richland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband of Olney; one son, Walter Jones Jr. and wife, Bonnie, of Oblong; one sister, Jane Kesler of Olney; three grandchildren, Kara Shull, Deena Bailey and Kelly Jones; one great-granddaughters Allyssa Shull; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
