Rosa Lathrop, age 103, passed away March 25th, 2016 at Burgin Manor in Olney, Illinois.  Services at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney with Pastor Jim Majernik officiating.  Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery, Claremont.

Rosa was born September 18, 1912 in Richland County, daughter of Burt West and Flossie Franklund.  She married Ross Lathrop on November 23, 1934.  He preceded her in death on November 6, 1990.

She was a member of the Prairieton United Methodist Church.

Rosa is survived by sons, Richard Lathrop and wife Jolene of Claremont, Illinois and William Lathrop and wife Jean of Vincennes, Indiana; grandchildren, Kristi Urfer and husband Jerry, Jack Lathrop and wife Beverly, Bob Lathrop and wife Ronnie, Twila Nantz and husband Donald; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Rosa is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Bud and Bob West; sisters, Velma Ahlfield and Helen Dishong; granddaughter, Kathy Schonert, and daughter-in-law, Phyllis Lathrop.
