Marjorie Voigt (Turley)

Marjorie M. Turley, 100, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Westminster Village in Bloomington, where she had resided for the past 10 years.

She was born on Dec. 22, 1913, to Oscar and Lou (Hitch) Voigt in Olney, Ill.

She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1936. She married William Turley in 1939 and resided in Washington, Ill., for more than 60 years.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Marcia (James) Schoonaert of Indianapolis, Cynthia (Gary) Reynolds of Mesa, Ariz., and Richard (Vickie) Turley of Mackinaw; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2001; her parents; a sister; two brothers; and grandson, Brian Schoonaert. Marjorie loved the games of golf and bridge, even celebrating her 100th year on the Eureka Golf Course last summer.
