Venus C. Robbins, 70, formerly of Tremont, Illinois died Friday, June 3, 1983 in Aptos, California. Funeral services in California. She was cremated.

Venus was born December 10, 1912 in Parkersburg, Ill., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Fritchley. She married Cecil Robbins May 9, 1937 at Parkersburg. He survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Janet of Saratoga, Calif..; two sisters, Lela Smith of Olney and Violet Steining of Waterloo; and two brothers, Henry of Evansville, Ind and Kenneth of Denver, Colo.

A daughter preceded her in death.

She graduated from Illinois State University in 1936 and taught school in central Illinois. She and her husband lived in Pekin and Tremont before retiring to California.
