Julia Campbell (Forsythe)

Mrs. Julia M. Forsythe, 65, of Olney Rt. 6, died Tuesday evening, November 1, 1977 at her home.

She was born July 1, 1912 at Olney, daughter of Charles D. and Golda Ethel Marlowe Campbell.  Mrs. Forsythe was a member of the First Baptist Church and had been a Sunday School teacher since graduation from high school.  She was the executive secretary of the Olney Chamber of Commerce from 1951 to 1955, and a secretary at AMF in Olney, retiring in 1974.  In 1958 she was awarded the Community Service Award at the C. of C. annual meeting.

In addition, she was a member of the Ridgway Bird Club, Olney Clio Club and Home Extension Service.

Her first marriage was to Jack Dyson June 21, 1931. He died April 30, 1939. On Jan. 9, 1943 she was married to Robert VonAlmen who died July 7, 1957. On Apr. 24, 1959 she married Harold K. Forsythe. He died June 23, 1974.

Surviving are four children, Julia Ann Miller of Sturgis, Mich., David VonAlmen of Half Moon Bay, Calif., Tom VonAlmen of Jerseyville and Bob VonAlmen of Olney; nine grandchildren; a brother, Charles D. Campbell of Midland, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Iva Kollak of Belvidere and Mrs. Lulu Franklin of Aurora.

Services at First Baptist Church in Olney with Rev. David McNabb and Dr. E. L. Goss officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
