Fontella Taylor, 88 of Clay City died Tuesday October 16, 2001 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.  Graveside services at Clay City Cemetery with Minister Carson Root officiating.

Mrs. Taylor was born on August 29, 1913 in Clay County, the daughter of David L. and Cora (Evans) Moseley. She married Charles B. Taylor on December 24, 1932 in Clay City. He preceded her in death in 1992.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of Clay City Christian Church.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by a daughter, Kaye Rice of Belleville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson and four brothers: Gerald, Clifford, Johnny and Loeren Moseley.
