E. Muriel Rodman, 76, of 332 E. Baker St., Bloomington, died at 2:37 p.m. yesterday March 17, 1989 at St. Joseph Medical Center, where she had been a patient the past 12 days.  Funeral at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home, the Rev. Fred Belcher officiating. Burial in East Lawn Cemtery.

She was born Nov. 16, 1912, in Sumner, a daughter of William and Effie Hull Paullins. She married George E. Rodman on March 1, 1940, in Normal. He survives. Also surviving is a sister, Doris Syfert, Kankakee.

Mrs. Rodman taught elementary school in rural McLean County for 13 years and later worked for Eureka-Williams Co. in Bloomington for 33 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Church in rural Downs, to which memorials may be made.
