Mrs. Irene Jones Shipman age 58, a former resident of Richland County, passed away early this morning (November 19, 1971) at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria where she had lived for the past several years.

Mrs. Shipman was born (March 17, 1913) near Parkersburg, the daughter of Alfred Jones and Leona Witte Jones. Her parents are deceased.

She is survived by her husband, Leo; two sons, Larry of Hollywood, Calif. and Timothy of Peoria and a daughter, Hattiebelle of Sacramento, Cal. There are four grandchildren. Other survivors are three brothers, Sherman Jones of Freeport, Cliff Jones of Olney, and Loren Jones of New Orleans, La. She has two deceased sisters, Florence and Flo.

Funeral services in the Davison Funeral Home in Peoria and the body will be brought to the Walnut Grove Cemetery near Parkersburg for graveside services.
