Ret. Col. Harvey Charles Dorney, 56 of Washington, D.C., passed away November 13, 1968. Col. Dorney was born November 4, 1912 in Cordell, Oklahoma, a son of Harvey Clinton Dorney and Matilda “Tillie” A. (Mehmert) Dorney.  He married Dorothy Arlene Smith in Olney, Illinois February 28, 1938.

Col. Dorney is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Dorney; three children, Harvey Charles Dorney, Jr, Suzanne Marie Gregoire and Cecile Teresa Chapman and grandchildren; also survived by siblings, brother, Paul Arthur Dorney, Sisters Margaret M. Dorney Wisniewski and Ruth Dorney Landis.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
