In Memory

Marc Wood - Class Of 2000

Marc Wood

Marc Wood, 30, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in Aurora, Colorado.  The family suggests gifts to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in his memory.

He was born in Olney to Cindy Wood on April 15, 1982.

Marc is survived by his mother, of Blanket, Texas, as well as his sister Emily, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He will be especially missed by his Auntie Pat Flach (Bob) of Aurora, Colorado, and his uncle David Wood (Linda) of Winfield, Illinois, along with several cousins and countless friends.

Marc was preceded in death by his Grandmother Jean Wood and his honorary Grandfather Lloyd Martin, both of Olney, and his uncle Richard Wood, of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Marc was an avid outdoorsman and a jack of all trades. He was always willing to share whatever time he had with others and was constantly volunteering to help everyone in any way he could. He would offer his assistance on everything from car repairs, to grilling a great steak dinner to share with friends, to pitching in to help with home repairs and fix computers. Marc was also an animal lover who bonded with every critter he encountered from his beloved goldfish to his kitten Carly. Always one to live in the moment, Marc never met a stranger and tried to squeeze the best out of every situation and enjoyed the company of friends as often as possible.
