Funeral services for Kenneth A. Hanes, 82, Olney, were held Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at First Presbyterian Church, Olney. Burial in the Crest Haven Cemetery, Claremont.

Mr. Hanes died Friday April 2, 1999, at his residence.

He was born July 25, 1916, in Richland County, the son of John and Bertha Buss Hanes. He married Marjorie Lee Mullinax. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jim Honeycutt, Woodbine, MD, a son, Kenneth E. Hanes, Waldo, FL; a sister, Myra Pittman, Lawrenceville, a brother Vernon Hanes, Flora, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hanes was retired and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Olney. He was a World War II U. S. Army veteran and a member of the VFW and Elks.
