Earl E. Sterchi, 76, of Olney died Monday May 3, 1993 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services at Saron United Church of Christ with the Rev. Garin Cycholl and the Rev. Robert Dhom officiating. Burial in Saron Cemetery.

Mr. Sterchi was born April 1, 1917 in Olney the son of John and Ruth (Schrey) Sterchi. He married Bernice Stoll April 8, 1945 at Saron United Church of Christ.

Mr. Sterchi was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was past president and current member of the Consistory, served on Richland County Board for 22 years as supervisor of Preston Township, charter member of Dundas Ruritan Club, member of Richland Post #30 American Legion, Olney Memorial Post #4226 VFW and Richland County Farm Bureau.

Mr. Sterchi is survived by his wife, Bernice Sterchi of Olney; one son, Jim Sterchi of Olney; one daughter, Dianne Scherer of Olney; one brother, Lester Sterchi of Dundas; one sister, Aileen Dhom of St. Charles, Mo.; four grandchildren; two uncles; three aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Sterchi was preceded in death by his parents.
