George Hursta

George N. Hursta, 82, of Olney died Wednesday November 8, 2000 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney with Reverend Charles McDonald officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Hursta was born on May 3, 1918 in Richland County, the son of Arval and Bertha (Frutiger) Hursta. He married Ruby Dressback on November 3, 1938 in Henderson, Ky. She preceded him in death November 8, 1992. He later married Patricia L. Weber on October 16, 1993. She survives.

He was a retail sales clerk for 46 years with Godeke Auto Parts and Berger Hardware Store, was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney; and  was a World War II veteran of U.S. Army Air Corps.

Mr. Hursta is survived by his wife, Patricia Hursta of Olney, three sons, Chris Hursta and his wife, Kathy of Olney, William N. Hursta and his wife, Ruth E. of Littleton, Colo., and Samuel G. Hursta and his wife, Judy of Covington, Texas; two step-sons, Mark Weber and his wife, Janet of Flora and John Weber and his wife, Joan of rural Mason; a sister, Elizabeth Craig and her husband, Gene of Olney; two sisters-in-law, Keathel Hursta of Olney and Jean Holdren of Noble; six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Ruby May (Dressback) Hursta and one brother, John.
