Jean Christine Raymond, 84, of Olney died Thursday December 12, 2002 at her residence.  Funeral services at the First Presbyterian Church in Olney with Reverend Laura Reason officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Raymond was born on September 8, 1918 in Richland County, the daughter of Karl A. and Mildred (Clodfelter) Gaffner. She married Jack Raymond on September 27, 1957 and he survives.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Olney. She was past president of Richland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed tennis, gardening and golf. She was a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Mo.

Mrs. Raymond is survived by her husband, Jack Raymond of Olney; two daughters, Melinda Raymond Ritchie and her husband, Dr. Tom of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Beverly Hartwin Butler and her husband, William of Plant City, Fla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Gaffner.
