Lucille Parker (Wilson) - Class Of 1934

Lucille Parker Wilson, 91, of Olney died Monday December 25, 2006 at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Wingert officiating with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Wilson was born October 21, 1915 in Richland County, the daughter of William Camp and Lula (Barker) Parker of Parkersburg. She married Ernest J. Wilson on June 19, 1934. He died on April 19, 1999, after 64 years of marriage. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Olney. She and her husband lived on a farm west of Olney all their married life.

She was a hard worker along with her husband on their farm, always tending family first.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by son, Larry Wilson and his wife Becky of Olney; daughters, Betty Effland and her husband, Bob of Mt. Carmel and Carol Manhart and her husband, Paul of Stewardson; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ella Hout of Brandon, Miss.; and two close friends, Helen Adams and Marlene Berry of Olney.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Fred J. Stout, sister, Genevieve Newkirk, two brothers-in-law, Ivan Newkirk and Mabrey Hout.
