RAYMOND KNAKMUHS, 76, of West Salem, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1993, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.  Funeral services at Ingram Home in West Salem, Brother Allen Ahlfield and Brother Scotty Shipman officiating. Burial in Moravian Cemetery in West Salem.

Mr. Knakmuhs was born April 30, 1917, in West Salem, son of Grover and Pearl (Schonert) Knakmuhs. He married Mary (Codfelter) Knakmuhs on Dec. 15, 1935 in West Salem.

Mr. Knakmuhs was a farmer. He attended Calhoun Christian Church.

Mr. Knakmuhs is survived by his wife, Mary Knakmuhs of West Salem, on son John and Barb Knakmuhs of West Salem; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Violet) Judge of Parkersburg and Mrs. Charles (Bernice, "Bea") Bonny of Hayworth, one brother, Conrad Knakmuhs of Harrisburg and two sisters: Ruth Diekman of Hopkins, Minn, and Iva Lu Lenear of Olney, and nine Grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Knakmuhs was preceded in death by his parents, one brother in law, Virgil Lenear and one sister in law, Lorene Knakmuhs.
