Howard R. Shaw, 68, Rt. 2, Olney died January 27, 1984 in Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Fla.  Services at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Shaw was born April 10, 1915 in Hettick, the son of Hugh and Lyda (Demunbrun) Shaw. He married Vera Louise Scherer July 11, 1948 and she survives.

He was a retired farmer, egg producer, and letter carrier. He was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney and was a World War II veteran in the Quartermaster Corp. (TEC 5 U.S. ARMY)

Other survivors include two daughters, Linda Isaacs and Suzanne Shaw, both of Olney; a brother, Robert Shaw, Arlington, Wash.; two sisters, Marian Coomer, Vincennes, Ind.; and Betty McDonald, Albuquerque, N.M.; a granddaughter, Michele Isaacs, Olney and a brother-in-law, Russell Scherer, Sumner.
