Johnsie Margaret Fiock Fildes, 89, of Olney died Wednesday December 13, 2006 at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Burial at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Fildes was born in Olney, the daughter of John and Matilda E. (Yelch) Fiock. She married Charles E. Fildes, MD on October 15, 1942 in St. Charles, Mo. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1997.

She was a retired homemaker, a graduate of Olney Township High School in 1935 and graduated from Lindenwood College, St. Charles, Mo. She wrote articles for the Olney Daily Mail. "The View From Fair Street." She was assistant Librarian, on the Library Board and past President of Olney Clio Club.

Mrs. Fildes is survived by her cousin, Mary Lou Pampe of Olney; cousins, Allen and Judy Snively of Louisville, Ky.; cousin of Charles, Barbara Stoll of Olney; cousin, Viola Bower of Texas and friend, Louise Byrd of Olney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two cousins, Bob and Wendell Snively.
