Frank Bower

Frank Bower, 82, of Olney died Monday March 7, 1994 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Bower was born November 12, 1911 in Wynoose Community in Richland County, the son of Frank S. and Clemency (Bowlby) Bower. He married Frieda Jared in June 1940.

He owned and operated Bower Mills, worked at Double "R" Hatchery and was a radio dispatcher for the Olney Police Department. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and also was a past president of the Kiwanis Club, past president of the Richland County Heritage Museum, served on East Richland School Board and was Mayor of Olney.

He is survived by two sons, Bob Bower of Evansville, Ind. and Larry Bower of Owensboro, Ky.; a daughter, Mary Naqvi of Rochester; two sisters, Leota Bower and Rachael Fulk both of Olney and seven grandchildren.

Bower was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, two brothers and two sisters.
